PEOPLE’S POWER ASSEMBLIES NYC
SOCIAL-DISTANCING QUEENS PROTEST DEMANDING:
JUSTICE FOR GEORGE FLOYD!
BLACK LIVES MATTER!
SATURDAY, MAY 30, 3:00 PM
DIVERSITY PLAZA, JACKSON HEIGHTS
OFF THE 7 LINE 74TH STREET / ROOSEVELT AVE STATION
People’s Power Assemblies NYC has called protests in Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens to protest the racist murder of George Floyd.

The Queens action will take place at 3:00 PM at Diversity Plaza, located in Jackson Heights, near the epicenter of the borough’s COVID-19 epidemic in Elmhurst.

Nationwide cities have seen righteous protests in solidarity with Floyd as well as rebellions in Minneapolis protesting the sadistic murder of Floyd by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.

The horrific videos, as well as the current COVID19 pandemic, shows what Black people have known for centuries: in a society built upon white supremacy, Black bodies are seen as disposable.

But we say NO! BLACK LIVES WILL ALWAYS MATTER! We demand justice for George Floyd, his children and family. Justice for ALL BLACK LIVES taken by police murder, vigilantes and mobs. We demand justice for the survivors, Blacks folks who were maimed, disabled, and traumatized by police and agents of the state.

Please note: Saturday at 3pm is in solidarity to national actions; however, if it is still raining heavily by 2:15 pm, we will postpone the action to Sunday, 2pm. The COVID19 pandemic is ongoing — wear a mask, and socially disrupt at least 6 feet apart.
