-SATURDAY, Nov 29: Mass Action #NoWords: Call an action in your city. Make it clear the militant, inspiring outpouring of outrage this week was not just a passing moment. Use picket lines & community speak outs. Read the names of other unarmed Black people killed by the state. Take 4.5 minutes of silence representing the four & one half HOURS Mike Brown’s body lay in the street.
-SUNDAY: Nov 30: Faith in Action: #ACallToResist: Many media outlets focus primarily on the alleged violence of Black youth, while the violence of the state against our communities goes unnamed. People of all faith & non-faith traditions can reflect & speak to Jeremiah 6:14-15. “They have treated the wound of my people carelessly, saying ‘Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace. They acted shamefully, they committed abomination; yet they were not ashamed…”
